 At our recent Missions Conference, we learned about the ministries of those whose "beautiful feet" are serving in different European countries. We were also reminded of God's desire that we share the gospel with those around us. To effectively do this, we must guard our hearts and minds and focus on the wisdom and truth found in God's Word. The library has a number of resources available to increase our knowledge about missions and assist in our walk with the Lord. Several new items include: Hudson Taylor: Deep in the Heart of China Read about his determined obedience and trust in the Lord's provision as he endured many hardships and personal losses to bring God's truth to the people of China. Hudson Taylor This video covers the early years of his ministry from his arrival in Shanghai to the death of his young wife, Maria. Ida Scudder: Healing Bodies, Touching Hearts Read about her nearly 60 years of bringing life-saving health care to women in India whose religious beliefs didn't allow male doctors to treat them. Freemasonry: From Darkness to Light This video exposes the secrecy shrouding this organization, provides and excellent analysis of its spiritual dangers, and shows its incompatibility with Christianity. The Dark Side of the Internet In this DVD, which should be viewed by all teens and adults with access to a computer, Rand Hummel, one of the speakers at The Wilds, shares potential dangers of the Internet and scriptural principles to use in avoiding them. Wellsprings of Life Looking for reliable counsel and guidance? This book arranges Proverbs by topic so God's answers about setting priorities, building relationships, managing finances, rearing children, overcoming temptation, solving problems, coping with pressure, etc. are easily found.
